Sessions
This tutorial introduces the Google Earth Engine (GEE) API. Participants will learn to filter, process, and export images, extract insights from temporal data, and export results using the API.
The "Air-Quality Modeling for EU Using Spacetime ML" hackathon invites students and young researchers to tackle the issue of air pollution. By leveraging spatio-temporal machine learning techniques, participants will develop predictive models that integrate satellite data (e.g., Sentinel-5P), ground sensor data, and auxiliary variables. The goal is to enhance the accuracy of air quality predictions, supporting EU environmental policies and public health strategies. The participants are encouraged to explore state-of-the-art ML approaches to create scalable, interpretable, and high-resolution air quality predictions. The best solutions will be evaluated based on model performance with an independent dataset, ensuring robustness and generalizability for real-world applications.
Digital Elevation Model provides knowledge of topography, hydrology, geomorphology. Geomorphometry is a domain to extract the land surface parameters from DEMs. This tutorial introduces leveraging the state-of-art geo-processing softwares to create spatial information from DEMs.
